Annie - MCSP, HCPC, AACP, BSc Hons and Bsc Sport & Exercise Science
Annie Wyatt is a Chartered Physiotherapist who is registered with all the major insurance companies. Annie worked in Derriford hospital for 18 months on the surgical wards and in ITU.
Since then she has focused on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has worked in private practise.
Previously Annie worked as a Course Manager and fitness instructor and she has a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. She has taught many forms of exercise classes including Aerobics, Balance and Pilates since the 1990s.
Annie draws on her knowledge of sport and exercise science and her teaching experience to create individualised exercise and rehabilitation programmes. She has experience of working with all age groups including children and the elderly. She treats everyone from those recovering from operations and illness, those with chronic conditions, and those who have suffered a sports injury. She goes out to visit patients on a domiciliary basis, teaches Balance and Pilates classes and offers hydrotherapy sessions.
Annie personal sporting interests include sailing, fitness, swimming and surfing.
Annie’s treatment focuses on the patient and their particular lifestyle and goals and she strives to address the underlying cause of the problem rather than just the symptoms. Therefore patients become more informed about their own bodies with information about how to remain fit and healthy. In this way they are able to return to their activities of life with exercises and suggestions to assist them to achieve their full potential.
